Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actor in the United Kingdom since the early 1980s. In 1990, she was rumored to have been Hugh Grant's girlfriend. Hurley became the focus of the media in 1994 as Grant was the focus of attention worldwide due to the popularity in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the film wearing the Versace gown that was secured with gold safetypins. Her relationship to Estee Lauder has been the most memorable moment in her career. Hurley was commissioned by Estee Lauder as her first model when she was at the age of 29. Since 1995, she's been used as a face for the company's products including Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. In the movies that are a hit with fans, such as International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), she portrayed Vanessa Kensington. Hurley designs and models an eponymous line of swimwear. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. Ur So Gay's title track was a cheerfully flippant song that attracted minimal interest. I Kissed a Girl - an ode of sexual curiosity - was released several months later. The track featured a raunchy electro-pop style and an assertive attitude. I Kissed a Girls was immediately a hit but it soon sparked controversy. Critics argued that it was a promotion of sexual relations between men and women, while others said the scenario that depicted in it was more appealing to fantasies of males. Nevertheless the combination of sensuality and polished music helped I Kissed a Girl become the number one song in a variety of countries and drove the sales of her album One of the Boys (2008). The sharp and energetic second single also proved well-loved. The album that Perry wrote in large part sold more than three million copies.
